Position: Long-Term Substitute School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Part-Time or Full-Time

Location: Oneida, New York

Duration: Covering a Maternity Leave (September - December 2024)

Caseload: TBD, including Second and Third Graders

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a long-term substitute position in Oneida, New York. This role will cover a maternity leave from September to December 2024. The district is flexible, offering both part-time and full-time options, with a preference for at least two full days per week or 4-5 mornings or afternoons. The caseload includes second and third graders, ranging from regular education placements focusing on articulation and language, to 12:1:1 settings, with a few students using munication devices.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate speech and language disorders in elementary students.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Provide therapy services to students individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to support therapy goals.
• Monitor and adjust therapy based on student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
• Write and update IEPs as needed.
• plete progress notes and bill Medicaid.
• Maintain regular contact with parents.
• Conduct evaluations as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.

Qualifications:

• M.A./M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Creative planning and organizational skills..
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language therapy practices.
• Experience with AACs and munication devices
