Minimum 1 years paraprofessional or special education experience required.
Soliant has partnered with a wonderful school district near Augusta, Maine to find dedicated and enthusiastic School Paraprofessionals for the current school year.
As a Paraprofessional, you will be responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom, supporting students with special needs, and helping to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Description of Position :
- Full time
- Remainder of the 2024 / 2025school year
- Will be working 1 : 1 or in groups with kids K-6
grade
- Work closely with teachers to provide individual and small-group instruction to students
- Assist students with special needs with their daily routines, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility
- Provide positive reinforcement and support to students, helping to build their self-confidence and independence
- Monitor students during classroom and non-classroom activities, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior

Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- Must be certified as an Educational aide
- Previous experience working in a classroom or with children with special needs preferred
