Join our team as a Remote School Psychologist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students across the state. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in psychology to promote positive learning environments, foster academic success, and address the diverse needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Utilize your expertise in psychological assessment to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, emotional well-being, and social development. Administer assessments, interpret results, and provide recommendations to support students' academic and socio-emotional growth.
Collaborate with School Teams: Serve as a vital member of interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with educators, parents, administrators, and other professionals to develop individualized intervention plans for students. Advocate for the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and learning profiles.
Provide Consultation and Support: Offer guidance to teachers and staff on strategies for promoting positive behavior, managing challenging situations, and creating inclusive learning environments. Provide ongoing consultation to support the implementation of evidence-based practices.
Foster Mental Health Awareness: Promote mental health awareness and destigmatize seeking support by providing psychoeducation to students, families, and school communities. Develop and facilitate workshops, presentations, and resources on topics related to mental health and well-being.
Support Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations, such as emotional distress or behavioral crises, by providing immediate support, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating appropriate interventions. Collaborate with community resources as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
