Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be instrumental in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Your role will involve developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with colleagues and families, and creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, incorporating appropriate accommodations and modifications to support their learning goals.
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development, using differentiated instructional strategies and adaptive materials as needed.
• Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress, adjust teaching methods, and document outcomes effectively.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for students with diverse learning needs.
• Implement behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, behavior plans, and instructional strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field (as required by state or district).
• State certification or licensure in Special Education (if applicable).
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in adapting curriculum, utilizing technology, and applying evidence-based instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for working effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
