Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Clarkton, NC. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including inclusive and self-contained classrooms.
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed to ensure academic success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and provide accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student performance and progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and independence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
• Valid North Carolina state licensure or certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and community resources.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

State Licensure Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a valid North Carolina state licensure or certification in Special Education.
