Job Posting : Special Education Teacher (Autism Program)

Job Description : We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team in the Autism Program within our K-12 school district.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with autism and neurological issues, including those who are non-verbal and utilize communication devices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations to identify learning issues and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Participate in PPT meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student.
• Assist students and teaching staff in implementing IEPs and behavior management plans effectively.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
• Certification in Special Education (required).
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders, including those who are non-verbal and use communication devices.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with parents and caregivers.
