Requirements :

• Experience with students with special needs, including those with autism, emotional / behavioral disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
• Bachelors / Master s Degree in Special Education
• Illinois State Special Education Teaching Certification endorsement
• Being bilingual is a huge bonus.

Caseload :

• Elementary and Middle School ages
• Resource and Self Contained classes
• Creating and maintaining a productive environment conducive to learning
• Assess the accomplishments of students consistently and provides progress reports when needed.
• Diagnoses the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of district specialists as required.
• Takes all necessary precautions to protect self, students, equipment, materials, facilities, and other faculty.
