Job Title : Special Education Teacher

Location : Earl, North Carolina Area

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods and techniques to engage and support students with different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess students' abilities and progress through formal and informal assessments.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of students.
• Provide direct instruction and support in small group and one-on-one settings.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Stay current with best practices in special education and maintain all necessary certifications and licensures.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
• Proven experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
