Job Opportunity : Part-Time Virtual Tutor (SPED)

Location : Torrington, CT (Virtual Position)

Hours : 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday

2 hours per day between 8am-2 : 30pm

Caseload :

Tutoring for a 7th-grade student

Job Responsibilities :

• Provide specialized instruction and support in the above subjects tailored to the needs of a 7th-grade student.
• Develop and implement individualized tutoring plans to help the student succeed academically.
• Utilize various teaching methods and resources to engage the student in virtual learning.
• Monitor and track the students progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with the students parents and school staff to report on progress and address any challenges.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to help the student build confidence and achieve academic goals.

Qualifications :

• Experience working with special education students.
• Strong knowledge in the subjects of Math, Science, ELA, History, and familiarity with Music and Digital Video.
• Ability to develop and implement effective virtual teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Requirements :

• Must have access to a reliable computer and internet connection for virtual tutoring sessions.
• Special education certification or relevant experience is highly desirable.
