Position Overview : As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Job Description : In this role, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.

You will deliver instruction in inclusive or self-contained settings, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and instructional materials.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet educational goals.
• Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on student progress and involve them in the educational process.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other collaborative planning sessions.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
