We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Teacher for the Hard of Hearing to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Palm City, Florida.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who are hard of hearing across various grade levels. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction, support, and advocacy for students with hearing impairments, ensuring their academic and social success within an inclusive classroom environment.

Location : Palm City, Florida

Position Type : Full-Time, Onsite

Hours : 37.5 hours per week

Caseload : K-12

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments, in collaboration with the IEP team.

Provide direct instruction and support to students in both individual and small group settings, utilizing appropriate amplification and communication technologies.

Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other related service providers to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience for students.

Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to facilitate academic growth and development.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes self-advocacy, independence, and social-emotional well-being for students with hearing impairments.

Qualifications :

Valid Florida teaching certification in Deaf Education or Special Education with an endorsement in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Knowledge of best practices, methodologies, and assistive technologies for teaching students who are hard of hearing.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience working with students who are hard of hearing across diverse grade levels (K-12) preferred.
