Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team in Pittsburgh, PA. As an IR Tech, you will assist in a variety of interventional radiology procedures, providing critical support to our medical staff and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures, including angiography, biopsies, and vascular interventions.
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and administering contrast media as needed.
• Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements:

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography; additional certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
• Proficiency in operating interventional radiology equipment and performing various procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare environment.
