Solid Form designs, fabricates, delivers and installs custom fabricated metals for remarkable projects around the Northwest. We are looking for a project Estimator to join our growing team. Estimators at Solid Form create the conditions for our team to succeed by filling the production schedule with right-fit projects and clients. You will accomplish this by evaluating plan sets, estimating costs and presenting proposals. A right-fit candidate combines equal amounts of thinking, listening and collaboration skills. Great Estimators have a knack for finding and addressing issues as they conduct plan take-offs, review specifications, and craft a plan to build amazing things from metal.

During a typical day as an Estimator you will:

• Gather, review and analyze project drawings, site conditions, specifications, contract documents and schedule requirements needed to prepare a proposal
• Use Bluebeam software for plan take-offs
• Develop the best approach to construction
• Use custom Excel spreadsheets to create a project budget
• Find and address issues with the project designs or schedule requirements
• Communicate alternative methods and/or value engineering ideas to resolve issues
• Prepare and present to the client a detailed bid proposal including itemized scope of work, exclusions, clarifications, and terms
• Upon project award, conduct a kickoff meetings with the Project Manager to transfer all project information
• Assist project manager with client communication and change order calculations throughout the project
• Use CRM software to track and analyze incoming opportunities and proposal results
