Job DescriptionEmployee Benefits Customer Service SpecialistJob SummaryA leading agency is seeking a driven insurance professional to join their team as an Employee Benefits Customer Service Specialist. In this position, you will play a significant role in fostering strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Prior Employee Benefits experience is required!
Responsibilities
  • Cultivate professional rapport with clients, vendors, and teammates, ensuring superior service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively as an integral member of the sales and service teams.
  • Process new and renewal business efficiently while upholding quality standards, including accurate maintenance of client management systems.
  • Address and resolve client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
  • Support the achievement of agency revenue and retention goals through proactive service and support.
  • Manage daily client processing tasks, including endorsements, policies, audits, and ID card issuance.
  • Participate in marketing activities and contribute to claims resolution processes, as necessary.
  • Document all client interactions and communications in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Engage in ongoing industry education and training opportunities sponsored by the company.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Knowledge of insurance products and coverage, as well as health and ancillary products.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Accountability for delivering high-quality work within specified timelines.
  • Holds an active Life and Health (L&H) Insurance License.
  • Experience managing groups with 500 lives - required.
  • Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particularly strong Excel skills.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits, benefits administration, or related fields.
