Soloh Partners is Hiring a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (NICU RN) Near Queens, NY

Job Title: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (NICU RN)
Location: Queens, NY (Jamaica)
Type: Contract, 13 weeks with extension
Shift: 3x12 Day (7 AM - 8:30 PM)

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
  • Current NYS license Registered Nurse (RN)

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assess, plan, and manage care for neonates in the NICU; monitor vital signs and responses to treatments; administer medications and treatments.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records; document progress and changes in condition.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals; participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Education: Educate parents and families on their newborn's condition, treatment plans, and care techniques.
  • Patient Advocacy: Ensure the safety and rights of neonates; address concerns and provide emotional support to families.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to and manage medical emergencies; perform neonatal resuscitation and other critical interventions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards; ensure infection control and safety practices are followed.
