Pay Rate: $73/hr (biweekly pay)

Schedule: 7AM - 7:30PM or 11am - 11:30PM open to 11.5 hours 3 days/week or 7.5 hours 5 days/week

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wound and Ostomy Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge and expertise in wound care and ostomy management, with a strong commitment to delivering personalized care to patients with acute and chronic wounds, as well as those requiring ostomy care.

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction and supervision of the Wound and Ostomy Manager, the wound, ostomy and continence nurse will provide safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients.
• Conducts health assessments focused on wound, ostomy, and continence related care. Performs focused physical assessment, develops plan of care based on the diagnosis and individual client needs. Recommends treatments as appropriate.
• Assist with the development, revisions, and evaluations of standards of care.
• Assess and document patient response to wound care, ostomy, continence, fistula and complex wounds treatment. Evaluate the quality and delivery of care provided by the clinical staff.
• Works collaboratively with the health care team and makes referrals to other disciplines as indicated.
• Teach, counsels, and assists individuals and families to assume responsibility for prevention of complications as they relate to patients with ostomies, wounds, or continence problems.
• Routinely providing comprehensive assessments of patients at risk for developing pressure injuries. Initiating preventative measures.

Qualifications:

• RN license in NY.
• Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), OR Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC).
• 3-5 years of wound care and ostomy experience.
• Epic experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
