Solomon Page is Hiring a Copy Lead, New Business Near New York, NY

Our client, a global media, marketing and corporate communications holding company in NYC, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Copy Lead to join their New Business team. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams to craft compelling business proposals and create custom RFP and RFI narratives. You will play a proactive role in evolving their pitches, RFPs, and client business strategies to align with their brand and marketing objectives. Your creativity and strategic thinking will be crucial as you develop inspired copy across a variety of channels, including proposals, press releases, website content, video scripts, white papers, event materials, and more. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in new business development and a portfolio showcasing relevant work, as well as experience and knowledge of agency holding companies. This is a hybrid position and requires 3-days/week onsite and 2-days/week remote in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and craft new business proposals.
  • Create custom RFP and RFI narratives tailored to client needs.
  • Contribute to the evolution of successful pitches and RFPs.
  • Develop copy that aligns with client business, brand, and marketing objectives.
  • Produce high-quality content across various channels, including proposals, press releases, website copy, video scripts, white papers, and event copy.
  • Present work to clients confidently and effectively, and manage communications with clients as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.
  • Provide strategic input and creative solutions to enhance business development efforts.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of proven experience in new business development and copywriting.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work in crafting proposals, RFPs, and other business development materials
  • Strong knowledge of agency holding companies and their operations.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to create compelling and persuasive narratives.
  • Excellent presentation and client communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strategic thinker with a creative mindset and problem-solving abilities.
