Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the LVN nursing team.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to LVNs and other nursing staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings and trainings to ensure best practices in patient care.
- Patient Care:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms, and respond to medical emergencies.
- Provide direct patient care, including conducting assessments and developing care plans.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct audits and reviews to maintain high standards of care.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
- Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
- Handle inventory and ordering of medical supplies and equipment.
- Licensure and Certification:
- Current and valid LVN license in the state of [State].
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Experience:
- Experience in a detox, substance use disorder, or behavioral health setting preferred.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
