Job Description Summary

The Director of Marketing provides leadership, vision and functional expertise for a team developing global strategic launch, market adoption and life cycle plans for the Company’s tools and diagnostics products.

Essential Functions

· Builds and leads launch strategies for SOLVD Health’s portfolio and other pipeline products.

· Leads the development and implementation of the global lifecycle management plan to build market opportunities, which will maximize the revenue and population impact.

· Provides global brand leadership for all commercialized products along with team members dedicated to the various products.

· Assumes leadership of the cross-functional product platform team, as the products prepares for commercialization.

· Collaborates with cross-functional partners to develop comprehensive channel strategies that align to the marketing objectives.

· Uses extensive experience in market and customer insights, marketing strategy to drive market development, brand value and differentiation, launch planning, pre-launch and launch execution.

· Collaborates with R&D, manufacturing and supply teams at every stage of development through launch, navigating the complexities inherent in rapid development.

· Works with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders to drive smooth and successful product launches.

· Translates key insights from scientific experts (internal and external) into clear, actionable strategies.

· Develops programs and materials to support education and training for the sales team; and educational information for customers, such as physicians, hospitals, practices and patients.

· Demonstrates relentless drive and ambition for excellence to assess and define the key value drivers, brand narrative, and go-to-market strategy across a multichannel approach for a complex ecosystem of healthcare providers, governments, health systems, and health care consumers.

· Delivers best-practice project management oversight for all market defining and launch preparation activities.

· Create and maintain a positive public image for the company, its products and people; craft media releases and develop social media programs to shape public perception and increase awareness of the company’s work and goals.

· Complies with corporate policies and procedures as well as all applicable healthcare laws and regulations.

Competencies

· Ability to collaborate among a range of key areas (marketing, field team, communications, promotion, physician, trade and consumer channels, pricing and contracting, and/or government payers) with public policy experience desirable.

· A high degree of digital fluency, and a deep understanding with proven success, using digital strategies and tactics to analyze market and consumer segments and identify target consumer personas.

· Experience implementing tactical marketing, including using novel digital methods to activate and engage with targeted consumersand motivate them to achieved desired objectives.

· Demonstrated success executing marketing plans that were innovative and “game changing,” and that established the market standard for the therapeutic area, brand segment, or disease.

· Previous success in developing and leading complex pre-launch and launch stage marketing plans, with prior life science, biotech, product and/or consumer product marketing experience.

· Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment

This position is based in Carlsbad, CA.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Travel

This position requires up to 20% travel.

Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S.) in related field, advanced degree strongly preferred.

· 15 years of progressive excellence within global marketing, or market access.

· 5 years’ successful track record leading market-launch brand strategies and brand teams in new and/or emerging markets.
