The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

* Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components.

* Maintain and improve hydraulic pumps, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps, pneumatic diaphragm pumps. Perform Preventive, Predictive, and Emergency Maintenance.

* Follow the maintenance work management process, which includes utilizing the maintenance management software to identify equipment problems, obtain parts, document findings, track labor hours and material on jobs, capture repair history, etc

* Contribute to Manufacturing Conscious Engineering by participating in development and coordination of engineering projects, including design, procurement and installation of new equipment and modification of existing. Performing visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and testing of incoming materials based on inspection plans, workmanship standards, technical drawings and test methods.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

* Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)

* Three (3) years of Maintenance experience in an Industrial/manufacturing setting

* Ability to work overtime as needed

* Ability to work 2nd Shift (5pm-5am; 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Schedule requires working every other weekend)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

* Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings

* Associates degree in an engineering related field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or industrial maintenance field)

* Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
