Somat has immediate openings for a Geotechnical Project Manager! We are seeking energetic and personable experienced engineers who are interested in growing their career in this field.

The geotechnical project manager positions we are looking to fill will involve a mix of proposal pursuits, client management and development, staff management and mentoring, project deliverable and budget management, and technical oversight.

Some of the types of activities that you will be involved with are:

• Providing mentorship, development and guidance to staff/field engineers. This includes assisting with report preparation, review of reports and analyses, and overview of fieldwork procedures,
• Collaborate with clients on the completion of project deliverables,
• Providing project management for a variety of projects from conception to finish, including preparing proposals,
• Oversight of field and laboratory activities for the compilation of Geotechnical investigations for various types of structures,
• Managing existing client relationships, the development of new relationships and business development into new clients and markets,
• Assist with asset work load management
• Identify potential project and market growth opportunities
• Project administration including maintaining backlog and workload to support staff, budgets, change orders/contract modifications, invoicing, A/R collections, etc.
• Develop cost proposals and assist with marketing collateral
• Participation in professional societies and groups.

This position will require some out-of-town work assignments depending on the project requirements.
