SUMMARY

The BSA Analyst will support the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) program by adhering to policies, procedures, and controls, as well as assist in the detection and prevention of money laundering and suspicious activity. The BSA Specialist will be responsible for conducting AML reviews and investigations as well as ensure all BSA reportable transactions are accurately recorded. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares and submits regulatory reports, including Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), in a timely and accurate manner.
• Gathers monetary Instrument form documentation and ensures appropriate transactions are logged according to BSA policy.
• Reviews alerts generated from STC’s transaction monitoring system and escalates concerning activity for case review.
• Reviews government watchlist alerts for possible matches and escalate as appropriate.
• Conducts continuing activity investigations.
• Conducts enhanced due diligence reviews on high-risk customers.
• Analyzes transaction activity for various product types periodically for potential suspicious activity.
• Stays informed about changes in BSA/AML/CFT laws, regulations and industry trends and adheres to BSA policy.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience within the banking or financial services industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
