y:What you’ll be doin

• g:Direct handling and management of primary and excess General Liability claims for Construction-related insureds such as Construction Defect and potentially Bodily Injury, and Property Damag
• e.Provide coverage and analytical analysis of potential exposures and establish appropriate reserve
• s.Communicate appropriate responses to management and underwriters on new losses and provide written assessments on loss and expense trends and high exposure case
• s.Manage counsel where assigned; develop and execute strategy to control expenses and resolve litigated claims. Effectively represent the company’s interests in meetings and negotiation
• s.Proactively manage correspondence, claim files, and maintain an accurate and current diary in compliance with company standard
• s.Support underwriters and actuaries during the renewal proce
• ssMaintain a high level of claim and industry related expertise in order to assure technical competency and communicate to team members regarding significant issues and relevant change

• ng:BA/BS degree is preferred. Juris Doctorate also preferred, but not required. Adjuster’s license requir

• lus3-5 years in an insurance technical claims position or at a law firm with an emphasis on managing Construction-related fil
• es.Excellent writing, presentation, and communication ski
• llsAbility to assess coverage and tender opportunities; oversee and evaluate claim files for best outcomes; pursue and assess underlying policy limit/self-insured retentions for reserving; audit underlying claim files; and resolve clai
• ms.Ability to establish close working relationship with the underwriting team through open communication and assist with aspects of marketi
• ng.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to successful completi

Salary Range: $70,000 – $125,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experie
