Sondhi Solutions has partnered with a 60 year old large manufacturing and composites company to fill a Controller role they have open. This is a full-time, direct hire position on the north side of Indy (Noblesville). This position is onsite.
Responsibilities - Business Units (80%):
· Be hands-on doing and leading all aspects of the month-end financial close process across 3 business units and Corporate Parent entity, ensuring accurate and timely financial results;
· Lead the general ledger support including the posting and review of journal entries;
· Prepare and review monthly management financial statements;
· Review fixed asset and related ledgers ensuring accurate project and cost tracking and reconciliation;
· Review intercompany invoices ensuring accurate account posting and reconciliation;
· Maintain and/or aid in the enhancement of internal controls and accounting and financial reporting processes;
· Support accounting and finance integration for M&A transactions as they occur;
· Lead the annual budget development process and quarterly forecasts;
· Provide the business unit with ad-hoc financial analysis as requested (e.g., forecasting; actual-to-budget variance analysis; costing; customer/segment profitability; working capital; identify/drive financial reporting process improvements; among others).
Duties & Responsibilities -Corporate-level (20%):
· Lead the preparation and coordination of quarterly forecasts and Board of Directors' materials;
· Support the annual audit process and transfer pricing report with third-party advisors;
· Ensure timely and accurate tax (franchise and use; business, etc.) and annual report filings;
· Manage the domestic cash management/banking function, including managing and overseeing the initiation and approval authorities of payments; Identify and lead process improvements where applicable (e.g. A/P automation, G/L interfacing, etc.)
Position Requirements & Traits:
· Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Professional manufacturing experience is a huge plus
· US CPA or CMA Required
· 5 years of broad accounting experience with solid understanding of accounting processes and best practices, and manufacturing industry experience a plus;
· Strong working knowledge of standard cost accounting, internal controls and inventory management;
· Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis, including budgeting and forecasting;
· Advanced use of Microsoft Excel (including Power Query and Power BI) and other Microsoft Office software;
· Infor ERP system experience a plus;
· Strong project management aptitude, ability to prioritize deliverables and comfortable in a fast[1]paced environment;
· Work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment, but also independently with little or no supervision;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Detail-oriented with a macro-level view of the business;
· Supervisory experience a plus;
· Positive, Proactive and Make it Happen attitude.
