Our client is searching for a Medical Records Clerk to join their team! The ideal candidate has experience with medical records experience and has prior experience in a medical facility/doctor's office.

Responsibilities:

• Pulls charts for appointments and all requests for charts in a timely manner
• Prepare folders and maintain records of new patients
• Transports patient charts for daily appointments to designated areas
• Retrieves completed charts from designated pick up locations for filing in Medical Records Department
• Processes and files patient records and related correspondence in the Records Department in accordance with established protocols
• Monitors and maintains old and inactive patient medical records
• Answers telephone, takes messages, and/or directs requests for records and related patient information to appropriate staff members

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Windows based program (Excel, Word)
• Detail oriented
• Must be able to alphabetize and file accurately
• Type words and numbers quickly and accurately
• Must comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards

Compensation: $36,500/ annually

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
