As a Strategic Growth Analyst at Sonoco, you will play a critical role. You will be reporting to the VP of Marketing and Technology for Thermoformed and Flexible Packaging. Your work will involve collaborating with top leadership to define and articulate the business unit's strategy, contributing to the long-term success of our organization.
What you'll be doing:

• Collaborate with top leadership of the business unit to define and articulate the business strategy.
• Gather trends and customer needs to understand the markets we participate in and the addressable targeted market size.
• Coordinate the development, presentation, and updating of our long-range strategic plan by collaborating with various departments, including finance, operations, sales, R&D, IT, and supply management.
• Gather and analyze market data related to specific segments.
• Translate this data into an easily understandable format for targeted market segments.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and market conditions.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, and engage with partners and customers to stay updated on market trends and competitors' activities.
• Drive sales growth and win new business within specific segments.
• Recommend adjacent and breakout growth opportunities in targeted markets.
• Utilize the business development stage-gate process to create a data-driven plan aligned with our goals
• Identify and commercialize strategies for new products in adjacent segments.
• Assess potential opportunities.
• Establish product/pricing value propositions for the product portfolio.
• Serve as an advocate for market and customer segment needs.
• Create and deliver professional presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

This position is located at our Charlotte, NC or Global Corporate office in Hartsville, SC.
We'd love to hear from you if:

• Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or similar required. Degree in science or engineering field is preferred. MBA is desired
• 5-10 years in customer facing marketing communications, product marketing, product management, business development, product development, and sales.
• Minimum 5 years in Flexible Packaging industry with customer facing experience preferred
• Proven record of accomplishment of sales growth
• Project management - multitasking, prioritization, time, and budget management, planning and executing Flexibles packaging industry experience strongly preferred
• Customer facing presence with effective communication skills - writing, formal and informal presentation. Power Point expert
• Coachable, self-directed, demonstrated direct contribution to business results

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $123,675 to $148,410, plus annual target bonus.
