Position: Shipping Lead

Pay: Starting rate $31.23
Shift: 1st Shift 6am-4pm

The Shipping Lead will report to the Office Manager and will be responsible for effectively leading a crew of 4-5 shippers by clearly setting expectations for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, Productivity, Inventory Control, and Continuous Improvement. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate for this position takes pride in his/her hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills, attention to detail and can clearly communicate both verbally as well as in writing.
What You'll Be Doing

• Understanding Forklift Operations
• Labeling containers for shipment
• FIFO product
• Create daily shipping schedule
• Manage warehouse space
• Track FG product in outside warehouses
• Prepare shipping paperwork and sign on behalf of the plant
• Partner with carriers to meet customer needs
• Verify receiving paperwork and sign on behalf of the plant
• Determine how, when, and where materials should be unloaded in the most safe and efficient manner
• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams
• Highly effective communicator and leader, must lead by example
• Set expectations, measure, and track metrics
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Overtime required at times

Requirements; Training/Skills:

• Basic warehouse practices
• Understanding shipment schedule
• Basic shipping instructions
• Procedures for loading/unloading trailers
• FIFO work instructions
• High attention to detail, quality documentation is critical and expected
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be reliable and dependable have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused
• Ability to lift - up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Must be computer literate
• Must become forklift certified
