Our team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Financial Services Advisor, for Title IV funding, to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Student Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for assisting new and continuing students through the applicable funding process to ensure funding is secured via Title IV In this role, the Student Financial Aid Advisor handles all student outreach, advisement, document collection, file review, packaging and awarding that pertains to Title IV funding. The Student Financial Aid Advisor works collaboratively with peers to provide students with a seamless and efficient funding process.

Here’s what you’d be doing:

  • Communicates daily with students via phone and email communication in regards to applicable funding sources while providing exceptional customer service
  • Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures
  • Coordinates payment plans with students for balances owed to school
  • Prepares operational tracking reports as requested by management
  • Maintains knowledge of SDI’s pricing model and refund policies
  • Assists with file reviews, audits and other regulatory requirements as needed
  • Completes all ISIR review including conflicting information, verification, and C-code resolution
  • Follows all Title IV policies and procedures
  • Awards Title IV funds for all eligible students
  • Collects necessary documentation for completion of files
  • Handles exit counseling for all dropped and graduated Title IV loan recipients
  • Sends out and collects all necessary post withdrawal disbursement forms
  • Updates all necessary systems with pertinent student information
  • Coordinates cancellations and start date changes
  • Produces and sends all award letters
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

What we're looking for:

  • Associate's Degree in finance, public administration, accounting, human resources, counseling; or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years of student advising or customer service experience, required
  • Two or more years of financial aid experience, required
  • Related experience (such as bank loan officer, tax consultant, student records, counseling or admissions) may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered
