Reliability Technician, Quality Assurance II (Office-Based)

The Reliability Technician II/ Product Quality Support performs routine quality assurance tasks for a specific component or product within Failure Analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis and troubleshooting of RMA Implantable Cochlear Stimulator system components which includes ICS device, External sound processor, Headpiece, Accessories, etc..
• Strictly follow written procedures in processing returned devices.
• Maintain accurate and detailed notes and entries in a database.
• Perform x-ray analysis on returned RMA products.
• Test product using Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Generate written reports detailing findings for dissemination to customers.
• Works collaboratively with Senior Technicians, Engineers and/or Management in the Root Cause analysis of returned devices.
• Works collaboratively with Senior Technicians, Engineers and/or Management in performing reliability studies.
• Decontaminate RMA product following written procedure.
• Performs additional related work as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

More about you:

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Further Education

• Formal education in Electronics Theory / Engineering

Nice to Have

• AA in Electronics Engineering

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years in the area of failure analysis

Nice to Have

• 5 years or more in the area of failure analysis

Languages

• English/ Fluent

IT Skills

• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Familiarity with Internet use e.g. cloud based services

Further Requirements

• Ability to Troubleshooting & perform Inspections using a Microscope.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely database records.
• Familiarity with basic electronics troubleshooting hardware e.g. Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies.
• Proficient with English grammar and spelling for writing customer facing reports.

Nice to Have

• Mechanical FA/materials analysis experience.
• Experience with RF theory and troubleshooting

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $20.00/hr - 30.00/hr .
