Responsibilities include creating informative online content, sourcing graphics for the website, constructing compelling headlines and producing monthly newsletters. This role will also utilize social media platforms to drive brand awareness and online engagement.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create impactful editorial content for the website, social media and newsletters
- Identify and report daily news stories, press releases, innovations and trends
- Source or create graphics, video and audio content for the website or newsletters
- Establish, develop and maintain sources to provide relevant and interesting insights to the processing operations of the pet food and pet treat industry
- Provide copy editing and design review for monthly print publication and e-newsletters
- Monitor digital benchmarks and offer strategic ideas to improve online activity
- Assist with content development and copy editing of print publication
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and plant visits to network with industry experts and build subject matter knowledge
- Excellent interviewing, writing, and editing skills
- Strong understanding of the digital and social media landscape and how to leverage those resources to build readership and online engagement
- Strategically focused and results driven self-starter
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline centric environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Insatiable curiosity to research and learn about the pet food and treat industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Communications
- 1 to 3 years multimedia experience
- B2B publishing experience preferred
- Digital editing experience recommended (Audition, Premiere Pro)
- Experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook (InDesign helpful)
