Sound Point Capital Management, a credit-oriented investment manager overseeing approximately $46 billion in total assets, is seeking a Trade Support Manager to join its Middle Office team. This position will be reporting to the Head of Alternative Credit Operations, working closely with other members of the operations team in order to support the various operational requirements for the firm.

Sound Point has a diverse product line which includes more than 70 CLOs and various funds that invest in stressed and distressed credit, commercial real estate, structured products, consumer loans, and corporate special situations. Based in New York, the firm employs more than 200 talented individuals and has grown steadily since inception.

Job Responsibilities

Trade booking process in the order management system (“OMS”);

Start of day positions in the OMS

Monitor trading activity in the OMS

Monitor trade confirmations and allocations

Trade updates and rebookings

Trade fails reporting

Trade-in message and communication issues with backoffice systems

End of Day checkout

Timely MiFID 2 APA and ARM trade reporting

AlphaCentrix messaging

Alert Account maintenance

CTM Broker maintenance

CTM integration

Clearpar integration

Qualifications

5 years’ experience in trade operations at a bank, asset manager, or fund administrator.

Highly organized, with a working knowledge of the functions and life-cycles of different investment products such as bonds, bank loans, swaps, options, and equities.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Particularly attentive to details, analytical in approach and able to handle stressful situations with ease.

Experience with database accounting systems, order management systems and reconciliation systems is preferred.

Knowledge of CTM, Alert, iHS Markit, Advent Geneva, Allvue Everest, or Indus Valley Partners (“IVP”) products is a plus.

Prior fixed income operations (buyside or sell-side) is a plus.

Undergraduate degree is required.

Salary Range

$85,000 - $125,000
