A Indirect Lending Manager to join our team! As the Indirect Lending Manager you will process, underwrite, and fund a full range of indirect consumer loans within lending authority limits. You will approve/decline loans and terms within established limits and policies of the Credit Union and serve as a resource for staff in handling complex questions and/or resolve non-routine problems including more complex escalated member calls. This role directly oversees the administration of the CUDL system. As the Indirect Lending Manager you will also provide leadership and direction for the department staff and activities including assist/support training of new department staff, managing department payroll and conducting employee annual reviews.

As a Indirect Lending Manager you will...
  • Direct the daily workflow in the Indirect Lending department.
  • Act as a resource for staff and members to answer complex questions and/or resolve non-routine problems that may arise. Handle more complex escalated member issues in order to resolve in the most satisfactory manner for all parties concerned.
  • Schedule staff and complete annual reviews.
  • Assist with creation and updating policy and procedures with regard to Consumer Lending department.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in consumer credit financing.
  • Update the Loan Origination System, as needed.
  • Ensure all information in the CRM tool is regularly updated and organized.
  • Process, underwrite, and fund a full range of indirect and direct (on a limited basis) consumer loans within lending authority limits; evaluate background information including employment history, credit history and debt to income ratio of applicants for indirect loans, lines of credit, and VISA credit cards (on a limited basis). Make credit decisions; approve/decline loans; evaluate risk; determine collateral needs and set terms for approved and modification of loans, or identify reasons for denial. Review title reports and loan documentation. Resolve fraud and/or straw purchases.
  • Participate in processing, funding, and servicing of indirect loans; open new accounts obtained through indirect lending program; input relevant information into Indirect and host computer system; prepare and send Welcome Packets for new members obtained through indirect lending program; audit indirect loan files as assigned, to ensure compliance; respond to member inquiries regarding consumer loans.
  • Maintain positive dealer relationships. Coordinate events for staff and dealer relations.
  • Maintain servicing of Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) and Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP).
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will bring to the team...
  • Three years experience in a financial institution with a strong background of auto lending and management experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Your compensation:
At Sound Credit Union we believe in paying our employees a fair and living wage. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate's prior experience and education level as it pertains to their role. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates, which allows us to offer merit-based salary increases.
Minimum: $90,400
Midpoint: $113,000
Maximum: $135,600
Your hours:
A in-person schedule Monday - Friday, with some on call availability.
