A Vendor Management & Business Continuity Specialist to join our team! The Vendor Management & Business Continuity Specialist will assist with the refinement of vendor management programs and strategies, rollout of vendor management system and collaborate with internal business partners, project managers and vendors to reduce risks and expense to the Credit Union. This position will define and manage metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. The Vendor Management & Business Continuity Planning Specialist will suggest improvements to and support the business side of our contract review process and develop negotiation recommendations, and the continuous improvement of Sound’s procurement processes and tools. This position will refine Sound’s Business Continuity Planning (BCP) solution and processes and work closely with the business owners to prepare Sound for future BCP events.

As a Vendor Management & Business Continuity Specialist you will…

  • Refine, re-implement and manage the new vendor qualification and onboarding process.
  • Administer and manage the Credit Union contract portfolio requiring a high level of oversight. Manage contract extensions and re-negotiation of contracts.
  • Provide support throughout the contracting process, as well as management of contracts post-execution.
  • Mediate and resolve contractual issues and disputes.
  • Participate in business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve vendor performance and strengthen business partnerships.
  • Review and revise current vendor management processes to improve efficiency and adoption where appropriate.
  • Support Business partners when onboarding new vendors and manage the vendor due diligence process.
  • Audit business partner vendor reviews, document audit results and provide recommendations to management accordingly.
  • Strengthen and support our Business Continuity Planning process by reviewing current process and identifying gaps and shortcomings and mitigating these issues.
  • Develop a Business Continuity program with frequent audits and exercises. Document audit results and provide recommendations to management accordingly.
  • Develop and facilitate vendor management and Business Continuity trainings for managers.

Qualifications


Our ideal candidate will bring to the team…

  • Three plus years of experience in vendor management, contract binding and biddings and business continuity planning and contracting required.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Your compensation:

At Sound Credit Union we believe in paying our employees a fair and living wage. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s prior experience and education level as it pertains to their role. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates, which allows us to offer merit-based salary increases.

Minimum: $25.77
Midpoint: $32.21
Maximum: $38.65

Your hours:

A hybrid schedule Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm.

In your role you will have the ability to combine in-person and remote work.
