Dear Prospective Colleague,
I am honored to serve as the Chief CRNA for Sound at Tri-City Medical Center in beautiful North San Diego County. We take great pride in our anesthesia program and continue to build. If you're a team-oriented CRNA comfortable working autonomously at the full scope of your license and looking to join a great practice, I would like to extend a warm invitation to learn more about our people, practice, and unwavering purpose.
People
• Our team is a small, tight-knit group, so you’ll enjoy preferred scheduling, a supportive and inclusive work environment, and professional growth and development opportunities.
• Our team is built on a foundation of strong teamwork and collaboration, excellent clinical competency, and patient-centered care.
• We have the best anesthesia techs you will have ever worked with, guaranteed.
• We currently self-schedule, allowing flexibility to fit your life. Most providers work 3-5 days a week and schedule themselves off after calls.
Practice
• Tri-City Medical Center is a community hospital with a family feel. The hospital has 12 ORs and is currently running 5-6 per day.
• As a CRNA on our team, you'll be responsible for assessing patients and developing individualized anesthetic plans, implementing care for a range of complex cases and high-acuity patients, and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• We are a collaborative hybrid team. Anesthesiologists and CRNAs do their own cases with support when needed. We handle a wide variety of complex cases, including Ortho, Spine, Vascular, GYN, Robotics, General Surgery, EP lab, IR, and GI. There is no OB at the hospital.
• We see a high volume of regional blocks, arterial, and central lines. Open heart and structural heart cases are covered by cardiac anesthesiologists. Patients younger than 18 are not admitted unless there is a life-or-limb emergency.
• 1099 contract with paid malpractice 10 or 12-hour shifts; 1:7 call from home with a 30-minute callback. The call is shared between CRNAs and General MDs. A cardiac MD is on call for hearts and backup.
• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Access to our proprietary learning platform, SoundInstitute, for continuing education and professional development with convenient online and in-person educational offerings.
Purpose
• We put patients first. Always.
• We strongly support personal and professional growth and development within our anesthesia practice, allowing you to explore new avenues locally and within the broader medical group.
• We take pride in our community-minded approach, actively encouraging team members to contribute to community health and wellness within and outside the hospital.
