Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a right-to-hire consultant to our direct client, a major publishing/media company in Houston, TX. * Hybrid role - 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Job Title: Junior Analyst (Contractor)

Duration: Contract to Permanent (after 6 to 18 months)

Pay Rate: $27.71/hr (W-2)

40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Candidates with a mix of a technical degree (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, etc.) with good computer/data analysis skills perform very well. The job requires extensive use of Excel, PowerPoint, and databases. While the actual work of publishing reports is not difficult (prepping files, pulling data, creating graphs/charts, etc.), this requires someone who is proactive and organized. Most of the people hired into this role are either fresh graduates or just a few years' experience.

Analysts are assigned to each of the Base Chemical sectors. These sectors include Olefins, Plastics, Aromatics, Inorganics, and Syngas. Analysts support their sector in the publication of market reports, annual studies, client/conference presentations, project work and other related tasks. They update and maintain graphs, tables, Excel-based models and databases; edit chemical market analyses and work with the content management system. Analysts also interact with clients in providing data, information and training on websites and online databases. They may also be assigned specific research and collect data from industry associations.

Job Duties:

• Fulfill data requests by clients as directed by consultants

• Create/modify Microsoft Excel graphs and tables for weekly/monthly market reports and annual world analysis

• Proof and modify consultant text written for market reports and world analysis

• Create presentation materials in Microsoft PowerPoint for meetings and conferences

• Maintain and audit world trade database for select products

• Gather and maintain data from public sectors for consultant analysis

• Play a key role in the execution of Base Chemical conferences and webinars

• Support Operations endeavors to improve and maintain processes and standardization

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience a plus

Required Experience/Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Programming skills in Python, R, etc. also a plus

• Experience/quick learner in all software used (content management system, GTT, databases, etc.)

• Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical skills and communication skills

• Works well in a team environment and can organize people to effectively accomplish the work
