Position Title:
Organizational Development Officer
Salary Range:
$145,187.98 - $203,263.17
Job Description Summary:
This role works in close collaboration with the COO/CPO to serve as the Organizational Development Officer. As a member of the management team, this position provides strategic leadership, management, and directional oversight to the teams involved with human relations operations and organizational development solutions and services to the organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR and OD strategies and solutions to ensure efficient, effective and sustainable human capital solutions.
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide direction and leadership to Organizational Development (OD) and Human Resources (HR) teams, ensuring the people and design strategies are in place to empower the organizational strategy and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Lead the process of developing both short- and long-term strategic plans for OD and HR Operations programs.
  • Provide leadership to leaders and teams to ensure teams operate effectively within Sourcewell, support our overall mission, and apply our values in all interactions.
  • Develop processes to develop and maintain strong relationships with organizational leadership and teams to ensure HR and OD teams are viewed as trusted partners.
  • Oversee budget and cost centers for the entire OD and HR Operations team.
  • Evaluate and monitor effectiveness of programs and strategies against achievement of established goals, impact, and return on investment.
2. Lead and direct organizational development strategy
  • Lead development of organizational design plans and alignment of organizational structure and operating models with strategy, culture, and processes to optimize organizational effectiveness.
  • Direct talent strategy for organizational outcomes through a deep understanding of future capability requirements, building human capital implications into business scenario planning, linking human capital measures to business and transformation outcomes.
  • Lead, develop, and implement organizational growth strategies and programming, including integration of market trends and gap analysis into workforce strategy, succession planning, and supporting change readiness.
  • Lead development of organizational learning and development strategies to empower the organization with needed capabilities, leadership development plans, growth plans, and supporting effective knowledge transfer.
3. Lead and direct human resources operations strategy
  • Directs administration of Sourcewell's recruitment and hiring programs and processes to support organizational capacity needs.
  • Ensures compliancy through implementation of applicable human resources best practices, federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Directs administration of human resources programs, including compensation, benefits, leave and time off, employee relations, employee engagement, and organization
  • Oversees policy development that supports the organization, OD, and HR Operations.
4.Manage team members
  • Supervise, develop, train, and mentor assigned staff and ensure that they effectively manage and supervise their assigned staff.
  • Provide strategic direction and actionable goals to ensure that the entire team understands how their performance impacts department, division, and organizational strategies and goals.
  • Determine staffing needs and ensure teams have appropriate headcount to support growth plans.
  • Pattern our values of Seek, Empower and Impact to internal and external partners.
  • Develop and lead your team to become open, transparent, innovative, and collaborative manner with the Sourcewell team and external partners.
5. Represent Sourcewell and Organizational Development.
  • Represent Sourcewell and Organizational Development at internal events, board meetings and retreats.
  • Represent Sourcewell and Organizational Development at civic and social functions by attending local, regional, state, and national meetings, and conferences.
  • Attend and present at conferences, meetings, and other public events.
6. Other related areas and duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study AND seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in human resources, organizational design/development, organizational leadership, operations, or other directly related experience OR
  • Combination of post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equivalent to eleven (11) years.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience
  • Budget design management experience
  • Three (3) years demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience in strategic planning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in related field of study
  • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in human resources, organizational design/development, organizational leadership, operations, or other directly related experience
  • Five (5) years demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience working in an Artificial Intelligence empowered environment
  • Experience working in a Change Management empowered environment
  • Experience working with government or other public sector entities
  • Relevant HR or organizational development certification

Salary Range:
  • Grade 20, $145,187.98 - $203,263.17, commensurate with experience
Location:
  • This is a remote position, and is subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures.
  • On occasion may be expected to attend meetings or trainings at Sourcewell's headquarters in Staples, advance notice would be given to team member.
