Applicants need PLTW certifications in one or more of the courses currently offered. Current courses include: Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics, Civil Engineering & Architecture, Computer Science and Software Engineering, and Engineering Design & Development. The candidate may need to go to training. Immediate Supervisor: Building PrincipalJob Description:Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and develops workplace attitudesDifferentiate instruction to meet individual student learning stylesParticipate in Magnet Program eventsProvide instruction of PLTW coursesUtilize a learning management system for the instruction of PLTW coursesCommunicate regularly with parents and provide opportunities for parent involvementManage the behavioral, social, and emotional issues of a diverse ethnic/racial student populationActively participate in ongoing professional developmentDemonstrate experience implementing innovative instructional programsParticipate in recruitment activitiesMaintain state and federal reporting requirements. Participate in PLTW Advisory Committee meetingsQualifications:Must hold a valid Indiana Technology Education LicensePLTW certification in Principles of EngineeringPLTW certification in 1 or more additional engineering coursesPrior teaching experience preferred but not requiredCurriculum and organizational skills requiredAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, faculty and administration.Knowledge in the use of the Microsoft Office Professional Software, and all PLTW related software programs
