FAMILY RESOURCE SPECIALIST
REMOTE POSITION TO SERVE RICHLAND AND LEXINGTON COUNTIES IN SC
South Carolina Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP) is a youth and family serving organization seeking a Family Resource Specialist to provide services for children that are at risk of out of home placement, and to help reduce the need for further child welfare system involvement for the entire family. Services promote the safety, stability, permanency, and well-being of children, vulnerable adults and families. Services are short-term, family-focused designed to assist families by improving parenting and family functioning while keeping children safe.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the field psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, behavioral science, or related field.
- Ability to manage caseload size of 8-10 families, with minimum of weekly visits
- Able to provide case management and family preservation/stabilization services through development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans
- Ability to provide parent education and support services, and document activities and progress
- Must have valid license with acceptable driving record, valid car registration, auto insurance and reliable vehicle
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, data management systems, and electronic medical records (EMR)
