Job Summary # SCRMC ORTHO CAST TECH JOB SUMMARY Identifies patient, demonstrates courtesy, respect and compassion when interacting with patients. Keeps confidential matters confidential by not discussing patients business, personal issues or other employees in inappropriate places or situations. Respects the dignity of patients and others by: Listening and responding in a caring manner, initiating follow-up if necessary so the patient will have excellent service. Proper application of cast and splints. Keeps supervisor informed of any situation that might affect quality of service. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Management and Ordering of all supplies within South Central Orthopedic. Ensures treatment rooms are properly stocked with supplies and drugs are checked for expiration dates. Adheres to assigned work scheduled Delivery of Soft Goods, Lab Specimens, X-Ray Films to Surgery as requested by the staff/physicians of South Central Orthopedic. Demonstrates appropriate communication skills with physicians and other team members. Teamwork-Employee promotes positive teamwork with co-workers. Employee listens and makes an active attempt to understand co-workers. Employee completes assignments in a timely manner and accepts additional assignments and assists other staff members willingly.
