Come grow with us! South County Mental Health Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Healthcare provider located in Southeast Palm Beach County, Florida. Situated in the city of Delray Beach, the Center provides a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care to clients and their families in surrounding communities. Purpose: Perform emergency evaluations and provide disposition of individuals requesting Center Services and/or crisis in the community. Responsibilities:
Provide crisis intervention to individuals located in the community
Assess all individuals requesting emergency services
Respond to crisis situations, conduct risk assessments, and complete safety planning with individuals in crisis
Provide in-home services, therapeutic services with an interview approach
Have the knowledge and ability to interpret Baker and Marchman Acts
Work closely with other team members in the treatment process, ensuring coordination of services is taken to meet the client needs, and coordinate appropriate discharge planning
Maintain record and/or log of all mobile crisis assessments and community contracts by phone and face to face interactions
Qualifications:
Knowledge and ability to interpret the Baker and Marchman Act, Abuse and confidentiality laws
Must have leadership and organizational skills
Advanced crisis counseling and intervention skills
Advanced counseling and assessments skills
Ability to write assessments in a clear and concise format
Ability to write/compose correspondence, policies, etc
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with staff, clients and families
Ability to work as a team
Basic data PC skills (Microsoft Office Applications)

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences, Social Work, or related field. (Required)
PLUS
Two (2) years experience in the delivery of crisis behavioral health services
OR
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences, Social Work, or related field
Additional:
Must have a knowledge of evaluation, assessment and crisis intervention techniques
Proven demonstration of emotional/psychological resilience in trauma/mental health situations
