Job Description:Full-time, year-round position responsible for assisting the Dean, Off-Campus Instructional Sites (OCIS) by providing support and coordination of all day-to-day requirements and student services functions at SFSC's Lake Placid Center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains a friendly, courteous attitude and exhibits good communication and cooperation skills.
- Responsible for coordinating day-to-day Campus staffing and operations during hours of operation in coordination with Dean.
- Coordinates and oversees OCIS disaster preparedness activities, in coordination with Dean.
- Coordinates with main campus Student Services department each term to identify appropriate facility room needs regarding proposed scheduled academic campus course offerings.
- Oversees student services activities on Campus, including admissions, advising, registration, financial aid, testing, library, and other support services, and reports student issues to Dean of OCIS or Dean, Student Services as needed.
- Advises students, using PATHways as applicable. Collaborates advising efforts, as needed, with the main campus advising department and high school guidance counselors.
- Schedules use of Campus facilities by community groups, with Dean's approval.
- Responsible for reporting to the Dean any safety or security issues noted on site.
- Obtains and maintains OCIS equipment and supplies for efficient site operation.
- Performs clerical duties as needed, such as emailing, filing, word processing, copying, collating, answering phone calls, etc.
- Collects, monitors, and assesses data for use in decision making in collaboration with Dean, OCIS.
- Prepares paperwork as needed, such as instructor L.O.I.'s and payroll submissions.
- Creates and maintains student records.
- Schedules and administers student tests in testing room or other locations as needed.
- Acts as Campus Security Authority (CSA)/responsible person for Title IX and Clery Act compliance. Must participate in all required CSA/responsible person training.
- Contributes to unit planning and College institutional effectiveness efforts.
- Acts in accordance with the College policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Educational: Bachelor's degree in education, management, or other applicable area required.
Experiential: Three (3) years of educational leadership experience required. Experience in K-12 or higher education preferred. K-12 Leadership examples: dean, lead teacher, curriculum lead, math coach, reading coach, STEM coach, student services coordinator, testing coordinator, and administration leadership roles, etc.
