If so, do we have the position for you! South Gate Preschool is looking for the ideal candidate to fill the following position. This position is for the 2-year-old classroom. This room will have a maximum of 6 children per day.

As one of our teachers, you will work to instill confidence and security in the children by providing a warm and caring atmosphere in a stimulating, educational, and social environment.

South Gate United Preschool is located at 3500 Pioneers Blvd. Our preschool is an outreach of South Gate United Methodist Church. We operate Monday through Friday; the position is from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The children attend from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This position is for 19.5 hours per week. Our preschool follows the Lincoln Public School Calendar. We start the school year the Wednesday following Labor Day, and end the school year the last day LPS is in session prior to Memorial Day.

Teacher must have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Education & Experience & QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or GED

· Nineteen years old (minimum)

· Associate Degree in Early Childhood or related field (Preferred)

· Must complete all in-service hours required by the State of NE; Background checks are conducted on applicants for this position with the agencies as required by Nebraska State regulations.

Teacher will:

· The teacher plans, organizes and implements weekly theme-based curriculum the meet the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines.

· Communicate daily with parents

· Keep the classroom safe and clean

Requirements:

· Candidates must pass required state and church background checks

· Teacher must have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

· Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree in education required

· Experience is desired
