Summary
Responsible for the development of a new Housing Program to assist unaccompanied young adults experiencing homelessness with stable housing placement and wraparound services. The Housing Coordinator will initiate and maintain relationships with private market landlords to create housing opportunities for young adults in the North Central Worcester County. This is a dynamic position, working directly with the young adult population, landlords in the community, and area providers to match applicants with the best possible housing option that meets each individual’s needs.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to Managing Director, N. Worcester County. Indirectly reports to the Director of Regional Program Operations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to operate an automobile. Ability to reach overhead;
to work in various positions, including but not limited to: stooping, standing, bending over, sitting; to lift, pull and push materials as needed; and to lift 50lbs of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday.
Working Conditions: As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Young Adult Housing Program Coordinator will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs. A successful background check is required.
