ABOUT THE ROLE:

The CNA/Driver is responsible for performing nursing duties and activities of daily living as well as the timely and safe transporting of residents to various individual and group activities/functions and medical appointments.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a CNA/Driver:

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transport and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly. Administer direct care as necessary.
• Picks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed.
• Completes a safety check of the applicable vehicle, (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
• Accurately records vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Registration with State registry required.
• CPR Certification
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license in applicable state.
• Must have a good driving record and meet the company’s Driver Selection Policy standards.
• Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents at all times.
• Must be able to interpret and follow map directions

Salary: From $16.50 per hour
