Job Description
SUMMARY The Office Coordinator position is the primary and initial point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and other constituents in the Benny Agosto, Jr. Diversity Center (Agosto Diversity Center). The Office Coordinator performs administrative duties related to supporting law students and planning and coordinating programs for law students related to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and social justice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as the Agosto Diversity Center first point of contact when representing the office with students, staff, faculty, contract vendors, alumni, external organizations, and other groups through a variety of modalities including in-person, phone, and electronic communications.
Records, process and analyzes intake information and determines appropriate action including referral to department staff, internal departments and personnel, and external organizations.
Responds to student, staff, and faculty requests and needs in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner.
Utilizes training to provide triage services to DEI inquiries and requests in a confidential manner.
Responds to inquiries and issues, routes problems to Agosto Diversity Center staff or the appropriate internal department for resolution. This includes providing general information and appropriate referrals to walk-in appointments in the Agosto Diversity Center and the distribution of appropriate support resources.
Maintains accurate documentation and student records in the student information systems (Banner and Maxient, etc.)
Designs and maintains filing systems, copying, electronic filing, scanning, data entry, processes paperwork, develops documents/spreadsheets, supervises mail and hand-deliveries and other necessary office procedures.
Coordinates departmental programs including marketing materials, budget, spacing and catering services, and hosting all in consultation with Agosto Diversity Center staff.
Processes and manages office budgetary expenditures, invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, and year-end summaries. Responsible for the weekly review and report of the Agosto Diversity Center Budget.
Provides administrative support for all departmental functions including, the DEI Professional Development Workshop Series, networking events, CLE's, the Agosto Lecture Series, internal and external outreach activities, and other programs as assigned.
Supports campus-wide initiatives, such as the graduation/hooding ceremony, in collaboration with other departments to provide a comprehensive and meaningful services for students.
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality concerning all student, staff, and faculty information.
Comply with all aspects of the law school's Customer Service Standards.

Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
2 year associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Proficient in both spoken and written English. Ability to interpret and explain complex data. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to students, alumni, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic to intermediate math essential. Must possess the ability to analyze numerical data and detect patterns, errors and trends.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve routine problems and/or deal with a variety of variables in situations, especially when department head may be out of office or unavailable. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Extremely fast paced, multi-tasking, non-smoking work environment. Must be able to work the general business schedule of the law school (9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) plus occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
