  • Outdoor Sports: Enjoy world-class salmon fishing, kayaking through the Inside Passage, and boating in the region’s crystal-clear waters, teeming with marine life.
  • Adventure Trails: Explore Southeast Alaska’s numerous trails, such as those in Glacier Bay National Park, for hiking, mountain biking and even cross-country skiing during the winter months.
  • Whale Watching: Witness the awe-inspiring sight of humpback whales breaching and orcas gliding through the waters of the Inside Passage on guided boat tours.
  • Glacier Exploration: Visit stunning glaciers, like the Mendenhall Glacier, up close through guided tours or adventurous hikes, offering unforgettable experiences unique to Southeast Alaska.
  • Camping and Picnicking: Take advantage of numerous campsites and picnic areas nestled in picturesque landscapes, such as those found in the Tongass National Forest, perfect for family outings.
  • Bird Watching: Southeast Alaska is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with opportunities to spot a variety of species, including puffins, sandhill cranes and the iconic bald eagle.
  • Aurora Borealis: Experience the magic of the Northern Lights, dancing across the night sky in vivid colors, a natural spectacle best viewed from the remote and dark skies of Southeast Alaska.

And here’s why you’ll love your new job:

  • Relocation Assistance: Receive a $10K relocation bonus and personalized support from SEARHC’s Property Manager, who will suggest potential housing leads.
  • Competitive Compensation: Earn $46-$58/hr. DOE, plus $4/night shift differential, with a $25K sign-on bonus to help get your new life off to a great start.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy peace of mind with medical, dental and vision insurance starting the first of the month after hire, and employer retirement matching up to five percent.
  • Professional Development: Reach your potential with tuition assistance of up to $4K per year and cross-training opportunities in various specialties.

  • Community Impact: Serve diverse, culturally rich communities and build strong relationships with patients and their families.
  • Supportive Leadership: Work in an environment that values innovative thinking and provides a nurturing environment for your success.

And what certifications or licenses you will need:

SEARHC candidates need an active unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in any US state.

While you do not need an Alaskan RN license to be eligible for employment, candidates who are extended and accept an offer, will need to apply for Alaska licensure and complete that requirement within 6 months of their start date.
