JOB TITLE: Admissions Counselor (Undergraduate)
DEPARTMENT: Admissions
DIVISION: Institutional Advancement
SUPERVISOR: Director of Admissions
PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Undergraduate Admissions Counselor is to serve as a support to the Director and Associate Directors in all office procedures, including aiding prospective students through the application process, implementing decisions relative to applications, and assisting in the recruiting of prospective students.

Serve as a team-member of the Institutional Advancement Division and strive to accomplish the tasks assigned to each department by the VP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists and guides prospective students on application processes, degree choice, and enrolling as a student at Southeastern.

Assists the Director of Admissions and Associate Directors in communication with inquiries, applicants, and admitted students.

Maintains contact with undergraduate prospective students.

Responds to inquiries and other requests for information about the seminary and college.

Sends appropriate follow-up correspondence to all applicants for admission

Schedules admission meetings with prospective students.

Participates in regular counselor meetings.

Notifies all applicants of the decision made by the Admissions office

Evaluates each prospective student’s application and recommends appropriate decision.
-
Other duties as needed to help support admissions office as directed by Associate Directors and Director of Admissions.
OTHER DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES

Be on call to give campus tours

Occasional travel for the office (minimum of 4 trips a semester)

Work hours will be 8am-5pm (Mon-Thurs) and 8am-4pm (Fri) with one hour for lunch. Flexible with school schedules.
