SCCI has an exciting opportunity for an Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR) Graphics Designer to join our team in support of the Battle Management System (BMS), an innovative DoD program. BMS specializes in rapidly developing and deploying innovative technology solutions to outmatch the evolving threats faced by our warfighters. This position is available for immediate hire and located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Rendering functionality and graphics systems to visualize technical data sets and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) algorithms
• Working in multiple mediums to create virtual environments, digital twins, and UI components
• Analyzing real-word data to generate artificial intelligence solutions in parallel with visualization teams for virtual environments and systems to conceptualize and build custom interactive experiences and tools using the Unity or Unreal game engine
• Collaborating with other developers, data scientists, and engineers with the shared goal of creating complex virtual systems

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or field directly related to AR/VR development; Or three (3) years of direct hands-on experience with Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) development; Or military background with relevancy to AR/VR development
• Experience with Unity or Unreal
• Experience creating custom shaders with node-based graph editors
• Experience working with various rendering pipelines in Unity
• Proficient in hard surface modelling in Blender or Maya
• Understanding of design principles associated with video game genre conventions
• Extensive asset creation with Adobe Suite products to create user-friendly UI/UX
• Ability to conduct playtests, design reviews, and feedback events

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience rigging or animating humanoid models
• Experience with level design and terrain creation tools
• Experience with source control solutions (Git)
