Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Medical Director:

Uses prescriptive authority, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations, to treat illness, improve health status, and provide preventative care.

Facilitates and makes recommendations for employment health evaluations.

Evaluates, examines, and advises employees with various health concerns and makes recommendations and referrals, as needed.

Provides work direction to medical assistants and nurses as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

An earned master's degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard from a regionally accredited college or university

A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License and a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration Number

A valid active Health Care Provider CPR card issued by an approved program

1 year of experience as a PA or NP

Must meet criteria for medical staff credentials at UNC Health Southeastern
