DescriptionAssist the Chair of the School of Divinity with the acceptance process, advising, planning, and executing graduate programs. With that, provide opportunities for the School of Divinity Graduate Students to be involved in community through courses, service opportunities, and other events. Expected to work Summers.
POSITION TITLE: Graduate Assistant School of Divinity
DEPARTMENT: Barnett College of Ministry and Theology School of Divinity
REPORTS TO: Dean of Barnett College, Department Chair for School of Divinity, Program Coordinator for School of Divinity
POSITION SUMMARY: Graduate Assistants are student workers who work in a part-time capacity while pursuing a graduate degree at Southeastern.
Collaboration – Ability to work with faculty and staff with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Communication – Strong Communication skills, written and verbal.
Location - Lakeland campus office hours required
Administrative Skills - Strong administrative and organizational skills. Experience with office management tools, databases, and scheduling software.
Community Engagement - Experience or a strong interest in community service, civic engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.
Leadership Qualities - Ability to take initiative, manage projects effectively, and collaborate in team settings.
Problem-solving Skills - Excellent ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop logical, attainable solutions.
Flexibility and Adaptability - Proficient in managing concurrent tasks and adapting to dynamic environments.

POSITION SUMMARY: Graduate Assistants are student workers who work in a part-time capacity while pursuing a graduate degree at Southeastern.
- Work alongside the Chair and the Program Coordinator with any School of Divinity task
- Plan and coordinate School of Divinity events by actively communicating when necessary with Media Services, Event Services, and others.
- Maintain a consistent and relevant flow of information from the department to the School of Divinity Students.
- Engage and manage the School of Divinity social media.
- Participate in the acceptance process of student acceptance into the different programs (MDIV, MATS, MABS, all MAML tracks)
- Assist in the planning of class offerings for the academic year
- Advise students by providing them the best way forward to successfully achieve their degree goals and graduate.
